 | Ramirez Blasts 3 into Bleachers Friday, October 3rd, 2014: Regardless of where you stand on the "hardest thing to do in sports" argument, one thing everyone can agree on, is that hitting three home runs in one game is quite an amazing feat. That's exactly what Aramis Ramirez did today at Yankee Stadium. He went deep three times and carried his team to victory in the Boston Red Sox 10-3 win over New York.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Ramirez said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
He blistered the Yankees for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times.
The New York skipper said, "It ain't like we weren't trying. He was hot and really torched my boys today."
A. Ramirez flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off J. McGee in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off J. McGee in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off D. Antelo in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Ramirez is presently batting .274 with 34 home runs, 83 runs scored and 112 RBIs. His OBP is .327. | |
