Friday, April 24th, 2015: The Norfolk Tides whipped Charlotte today 7-5, but didn't stop Pedro Mojica's consecutive-game hitting streak. The Knights first baseman collected 1 hit and pushed the number to 20 games in a row.
P. Mojica grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
This season in 16 games Mojica is batting .373 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 13 times. |
 | David Hines Hurt, Out of Action
Monday, April 20th, 2015: The Buffalo Bisons got some bad news when the team learned that David Hines was likely to be out for 7 months after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Syracuse Chiefs. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a fractured hip. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Buffalo manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until David is back in action."
This season Hines is batting .357 with 15 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 7 times and has 12 runs batted in. |

Monday, April 20th, 2015: There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Jeremy Hermida, the Scranton WB right fielder, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the International League Player of the Week honors.
Hermida piled up 15 hits in 30 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs while hitting .500.
