| Breaking News |  | Angels Gibson Out Permanently, Can't Come Back From Injury Tuesday, October 14th, 2014: The injury that forced Jeffrey Gibson to go on the disabled list is serious -- and the possibility that it's career-ending hasn't been ruled out according to his agent. Speaking to reporters in AZL today, Gibson's agent told them, "It's a pretty serious injury. I guess there's always the possibility it's career-ending, but we're not sure. He's getting intensive treatment five days a week." The 20-year-old Angels first baseman has been undergoing extensive rehabitation for a torn labrum and hurt it again while working out last week. BNN contacted medical experts and were told that it is rare that a ballplayer can come back from such a bad injury.

The 19-year-old shortstop put up a .356 average and a .381 on-base percentage, piling up 90 hits, 16 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run, 21 RBIs and 51 runs scored. |  | ARL Gives #1 Pitcher Award Wednesday, September 17th, 2014: The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2014 has been presented and the Arizona League winner is Rafael De los Santos of AZL.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said De los Santos. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Mariners star told reporters.
De los Santos excelled with an impressive 8-0 record in 12 starts. In 89 innings he yielded 36 hits and 25 walks, while striking out 50 and compiling a fine 1.01 ERA. | | | | |
